Congratulations to the VBFS 7th and 8th Grade Forensics Team for its third place win in the 2012 Robert S. Sergeant Independent Schools Forensics Tournament.In this annual public speaking event, hosted by Norfolk Collegiate this year, students in area private schools competed in the categories of: Prose, Poetry, Storytelling, and Original Oratory.
VBFS Team members included: Ana Huckins, Sydney Scolamiero, Isabella Shuchet, Channa Schachet Briskin, Zack Harris, Samantha Paladini, Ian Militello, Reid Merritt, and Elizabeth Thomas. Samantha received first place in Girls’ Prose, Reid placed second for Boys’ Prose and Elizabeth won third place in the category of Girls’ Poetry.
