School is exciting here at Virginia Beach Friends School!  Our extracurricular activities provide an enriching environment for our students. Students are encouraged to take advantage of extracurricular activities throughout the year.

VBFS offers Middle and Upper School students a variety of sports opportunities including boys’ and girls’ basketball, boys’ soccer and girls’ volleyball as well as summer sports camps.

Lower and Middle School students participate in forensics and compete annually in the Robert S. Sergeant Independent School Forensic Tournament.

Upper School students compete in the WHRO Computer Challenge.

International travel opportunities are available through our International Program.  The summer of 2012 trip is scheduled to visit the Amazonian rain forest.

Students from Kindergarten through 12^th grade enjoy chess club and participate in local competitions.

The school community participates fully in the annual school play/drama.

Music students participate in a variety of performances both on and off campus.

Students are encouraged to try a variety of activities and follow their interests.
