Virginia Beach Friends School Middle Camp Programs

Daily from 9-3:00pm     Rising 6th grade-Rising 9th grade

Before and After Camp Care Available  7:30am-5:30pm

Week 1      Jun. 18-Jun. 22

Ocean’s 11-15–Trips to the beach are included in this oceanography camp.

Film Making– A summer favorite in which campers write, produce, act and direct their own short film.

Week 2      Jun. 26-Jun. 29

Keep Those Skills (K.T.S.)–A perfect mind and body workout, honing sports skills and reinforcing grade level math and language arts skills.  Sign up for all 3 weeks!

Trash to Treasure–Turn trash and old furniture into funky works of art!

Week 3      Jul.  2-Jul. 6

3D Artists–Art is anything but flat in this creative, three dimensional camp.

Steel Drums/Music Camp–another Friends Camp favorite.

Week 4      Jul. 9-Jul. 13

Someone’s in the Kitchen–Cook up a storm in this week long culinary camp.

What Not to Wear 1– Friends’ take on the popular show.  Learn what clothes and styles are best for you.  And we’ll be making our own jewelry and accessories.

Week 5      Jul. 16-Jul. 20

K.T.S.–Keep Those Skills!

Crafter’s Club–Create loads of cool crafts for your family, your friends & yourself!

Week 6      Jul. 23-Jul. 27

Street Magic–Do you like David Blaine and Criss Angel?  Then, this is the camp for you–learn impressive street magic–including levitation and techno-trickery.

What Not to Wear 2–This camp will focus on age-appropriate makeup and turning thrift store finds into essentials for your wardrobe !

Week 7      Jul. 30-Aug. 3

K.T.S.–Keep Those Skills!

The Armchair Traveler–Explore other cultures–without ever leaving the Beach.  Language, history, cuisine and art from around the world.

Week 8      Aug. 6-Aug. 10

A Camp of Olympic Proportions–All campers will have a blast participating in this sports spectacular!
