Congratulation Girls Volleyball! 2nd Place JV Final!

Congratulations to the girls volleyball team.  The girls took 2nd place in the JV final.  Take a look at the trophy in the Wilson Center when you get a chance!

Competition in our Seven Cities Conference was extremely tough this year. However, BOTH of our teams were in their conference tournaments.  GREAT JOB EVERYONE!

Congratulations  VBFS Soccer

 

Virginia Beach Friends hosted the soccer conference tournament last week and the turn out was great.  Congratulations to the VBFS Soccer Team for a great season!  Please also extend an extra congrats to Will Nelson and Walker Thomas for an outstanding season!

WILL N. (Senior Team Capt. & Goalkeeper) received the 1st Team All-Conference Award for his outstanding keeper performance throughout the season.

WALKER T.  (Freshmen Team Capt.)   received a Honorable Mention for the 1st Team All-Conference.  He recorded 9 goals in 11 games.

Very impressive guys!!!

Friends Win Top Conference Awards

 

Four of our VBFS athletes have captured top awards from the Seven
Cities Athletic Conference. They include:

  • Ronnie Plauga – Player of the Year for the Conference & First Team All-Conference
  • Caitlin Jennings – Second Team, All-Conference
  • Ryan Cleland – All-Academic Athlete
  • Heather Gold – All-Academic Athlete

All-Academic Athlete awards are given to the male senior and female senior holding the highest GPAs.

Upper School

VBFS Upper School competes against other small, private schools and offers interested students the following Varsity sports:

Boys: Basketball; Soccer
Girls: Basketball; Volleyball; Soccer
Co-Ed: Bowling; Softball

Golf coming to VBFS this spring.

Friends School will have a Golf Club this spring for the boys. Players will learn the rules and fundamentals of playing golf including putting, driving the ball, swinging a club properly, and more.

The club will be going to the driving range as well as having  some time on the course.  Players are encouraged to try to have their own clubs, but if it’s not possible, that’s okay.  We will provide some clubs for general usage. There may be a small fee attached to the club.  Teacher Steve will be one of the coaches and can answer questions about the program.

Middle School

VBFS Middle School plays other small, private schools and offers interested students the following Middle School sports:

Girls: Basketball; Volleyball; Soccer
Co-Ed: Bowling; Softball
